COEP Pune Overview

The College of Engineering, Pune Technological University (CoEP Technological University), is a unitary Maharashtra Technological University of the Government of Maharashtra situated in Pune, Maharashtra, India. 

 

Established in 1854, it is the 2nd oldest engineering college in India, after IIT Roorkee (1847). The students and alumni are colloquially referred to as "COE Pians." 

 

On June 23, 2022, the Government of Maharashtra issued a notification regarding the conversion of the college into a unitary Maharashtra Technological University. 

 

On March 24, 2022, both the houses of the state government passed the CoEP Technological University bill, which conferred a unitary state university status on the institute.

The Institute is defined by its dedication to seeking solutions to today's major problems through technological advancements. 

 

The organisation has a rich history and is committed to the achievement of excellence. COEP provides a unique learning environment along with a variety of academic activities.

The college has been ranked 72nd in the NIRF Rankings of 2021 in the engineering category, which spans around 37 acres of land. The institution holds about 570 UG and 462 PG students overall.
