The IIEST Shibpur campus has a Central Library called Ramanujan Central Library, which is the biggest in south-east Asia spanning 3000 sq. meters and has all the resources for faculty, research scholars, and students from not only this institute but also other institutions in the neighboring area. Moreover, this library has computerized its operation and procured integrated library management software LIBSYS-7 including WebOPAC and necessary advanced hardware. The preparation of the retrospective conversion of the books has been done for accessing online besides providing an online search facility (OPAC) through in-house eight desktop computers dedicated for users. Furthermore, this library has a subscription to seven collections of Elsevier's science direct and also is a member of E-SHODH SINDHU to access more online resources besides being connected by a local area network (LAN) and providing an internet browsing facility for efficient and speedy services, and this library is open from 9 am to 12 am.
As IIEST Shibpur is a residential institution, it has 17 hostels, of which, two for girls, one hostel for PG girls, and the remaining hostels for boys. Hostel rooms are available in individual- or shared-room types. Most probably, 3rd year, final-year UG students and PG students are housed in a single room, and each room has all the amenities like a tube light, a fan, a bed, a table, a chair, and an almirah. Each hostel blog has a mess, indoor and outdoor game facility, 3-4 types of newspaper, etc.
For making students and staff fit, IIEST Shibpur has an excellent facility for that. It has Lord and Oval grounds besides having some basketball and volleyball courts. On these grounds, there are a few stadiums that are used for sports and other functions like convocation or other annual festivals besides hosting inter- and intra-college sports fests. It has all the facilities for cricket, football, volleyball, swimming, etc. Most importantly, it has a good hospital catering to the needs of the inmates.
As it is a renewed technical institution, it has all laboratories with the latest hi-tech equipment such as 3D printers and robots for AI & ML testing to the gamma-ray detector and X-ray diffractometer for advanced research for every department it has.
