A cut-off mark is a minimum or scaled score that a student needs to get into an institution or counseling for that institution. However, the ranges of the cut-off marks depend on the student's choice of department and course. Generally, the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced for admission to IITs and the ISM comprises the subjects of physics, chemistry, and mathematics in two papers, JEE Advanced Paper 1 and Paper 2.
