At IIT Kharagpur, the central library is one of the largest and finest technical libraries in India. There are 3,50,000 books and other materials available at this central library.
There are 21 hall residences available at IIT Kharagpur, including 16 hostels for boys and 5 hostels for girls. More than 12,000 students can be accommodated in those hall residencies, and the hostels are facilitated with single and double rooms, indoor games, a reading room, a mess, a TV, etc.
