IIT (ISM) Dhanbad strives to provide a profit-making education along with world-class facilities to its students. The Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad facilities and the university's infrastructure consist of a central library, sports arenas, well-equipped classrooms and laboratories, hostels, recreational centres, etc. There are nine hostels on the site. Each has a facility for accommodation for girls and boys separately. The Central Library, which is open 12 hours a day, has a huge database of books, journals, theses, research papers, etc. They also have licensed e-resources.

Library Facilities: The Central Library of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) is a seven-story, fully air-conditioned building. The central library has a reading hall on the seventh floor and a cafeteria on the ground floor.

The college has a boy’s hostel facility that provides good hostel accommodation for the students. All the necessary facilities are available for the students.

Female students can stay in separate hostels. A warden is available to take care of the students. Recreational facilities such as sports, a common room, etc. are available for the students.

The college has sports facilities for all students. IIT (ISM) Dhanbad provides indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as badminton, football, basketball, table tennis, etc. that are available for the students.

Penman Auditorium: This auditorium is completely air-conditioned and is used for organizing various events, such as competitions, workshops, intern talks, and the event “Hackfest”.
The state-of-the-art health facilities are available in the college, in addition to a 24*7 ambulance service and campus security.
The college has a Wi-Fi facility for students and staff.
