The NIT Durgapur Central Library houses a large stock of over 75,000 books that correspond to the needs of all related engineering fields.
It has a resourceful inventory of over 10,000 books relating to computers, and each engineering division and architecture has a clearly demarcated portion.
Staying in hostels is mandatory for all undergraduate students at the institute. The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur has seven halls of residence for male students.
Three of these halls have single-seated rooms for senior students. The institute also has several residence halls.
