The library at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is well-stocked with a collection of over 54,000 books and more than 3,000 CD/DVDs. In addition, the library has access to 46,409 online journals and 2,695 conference proceedings through its digital library. The library also provides various sections such as Acquisition, Technical, Textbook, Computer, Reading, Photocopy, Circulation, Reference, and Periodical to cater to the needs of students and faculty.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVDU) provides separate hostel facilities for male and female students. The hostel offers single, double and triple sharing rooms to accommodate students. There are a total of 7 hostels on campus, including 5 for male students and 2 for female students, with 1738 rooms available for both. The hostel facilities aim to provide a comfortable and safe living environment for students.
